All You Need to Know

  • What days are you open?
    Our office is open Monday through Friday. As our daily schedule is subject to change, please call to confirm office hours.
  • Are you accepting new patients?
    Yes, We are excited that you have chosen us for your orthopedic care. (We also treat automobile and work injuries.)

     

  • How do I make an appointment?
    To make an appointment please call our office. To ensure the best use of time, for both our physicians and patients, all of our office visits are by appointment only. We ask that you arrive at our office 10 - 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow you to complete any necessary paperwork and to update any demographic and insurance changes. If you must cancel an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer that time to someone else.

    Emergencies arise. We will advise you if there is going to be a delay in seeing you. If your schedule won't allow you to wait, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment. We do appreciate your patience and cooperation during our busy times and we will make every effort to keep your wait time to a minimum.
  • Do you accept my health insurance plan?
    Please refer to our Insurance page to review Advocare's list of accepted insurance providers.

  • How do we contact the doctor after hours?
    We have a physician on call 24 hours a day, please call our office at 856-424-8866. This is for emergency purposes only. Refill of medications and appointment requests will not get handled after hours.

    IN THE EVENT OF A LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, CALL 911.
  • What information should I bring with me?

    1. You will need to bring your insurance card and complete billing information, including responsible party information

    2. Bring photo ID and/or your Driver’s license.

    3. If you have received treatment for this condition from another office, please bring all records, test reports and images (x-rays, MRI, CT scan, etc).

    4. Bring a list of all medications you are currently taking including over-the-counter medications and supplements.

    5. Bring a list of all your allergies.

  • What type of clothing should I wear?
    You will need to wear clothing that will allow access to the body part you are being seen for (example: shorts for a knee injury, sleeveless shirt for a shoulder injury). If this is not possible, we have gowns you can change into for your exam.
  • Will I need to make payment at the time of my office visit?

    If your insurance company requires an office co-payment, you will be required to make that payment at the time of your visit.

  • How do I obtain a prescription refill?
    Please call our office and follow the prompts for our prescription refill line. Allow 2 business days for all routine prescription refills.

    For prescriptions that require prior authorization from your insurance company, please plan ahead to allow at least three to five days for refill approval.

    Prescription refills for controlled substances such as pain medications are refilled Monday through Friday only.
  • I have a question about my bill. Who do I talk to?
    Please call our Billing Department at 856-872-7055.

    If you would like to pay your bill, you may do so online or through your Patient Portal.
  • When is the right time to have surgery?

    There's no one-size-fits-all answer for deciding when to have surgery. Your orthopedic surgeon or other doctors will help you determine when surgery is the most appropriate next step.

    Key considerations include whether you're in pain, if you're experiencing instability or decreased mobility, and whether the injury or condition is affecting your quality of life.

  • Are there wheelchairs available at your locations?

    Wheelchairs are available at all of our locations.

  • What does it mean to be Board Certified?
    Board certification ensures that your orthopedic surgeon will continue to advance his or her clinical knowledge and skills. Is held to the highest standards of performance – Your orthopedic surgeon must adhere to a code of ethics and remain in good standing with the certifying board in order to maintain certification.
